Whether you're bidding a project, actively working on one, or wrapping it up, the sections below guide you through each phase of working with KMW Builders.
PRECONSTRUCTION
Our preconstruction process is structured to ensure clear communication, accurate pricing, and strong collaboration. Below is an overview of how we typically manage projects during the bidding phase.
REHAB PROJECTS
Subcontractors receive an invitation to bid along with preliminary plans and scope information.
An onsite walkthrough is scheduled to review site conditions, unit types, and trade-specific scope.
The walkthrough provides time for questions, clarifications, and discussion of potential solutions.
A bid deadline is established, typically 2–3 weeks following the site visit.
During the bid period, scope clarifications and follow-up questions are coordinated through the preconstruction team.
NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS
Subcontractors receive an invitation to bid along with plans and specifications.
Questions and scope clarifications are submitted to the preconstruction team during the bid period.
A bid deadline is communicated in advance.
Follow-up discussions may occur as needed prior to final pricing.
